He was named Shivaji Rao Gaikwad at birth. But when he appeared on silver screen. He was addressed as, Hello, Rajni sir! Mind it. Rajnikanth was born in 12th December in 1950. He was born in Maharashtrian family. His mother Ramabai was a housewife and Father Ramji rao Gaikwad was a police constable. it was a part of Bangalore mysore state. It's a part of the state of karnataka now. Rajnikanth was named Shivajirao Gaikwad after the famous personality Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Hr learnt both marathi and kannada language in his childhood they were four siblings. Rajnikant was the youngest. His elder brother are satyanarayan rao and Nageshwar rao. His sisters name is Aswath Balubhai after his father's retirement,their family shifted to Hanumant nagaron bangalore. He was nine year old at this time. His mother expired when he was very young. He continued his schooling.
He did his schooling from gavipuram government. Kannada model primary school. He was admitted in a math (Hindu Monastry)of Ramkrishna mission. He was thought about indian tradition and history here. He would also participate in the dramas organized by them. After performing is one such drama Rajnikant decided to take up acting as a career. The drama was based on Mahabharta. He played the role of Ekalaviya's friend in the drama. Kannad poet Dr. Bendre saw his performance and was greatly impressed. He changed his school to acharya pathsala public school. He would often participate in the school dramas. As the financial condition of his family wasn't good. Rajnikant did odd jobs besides completing his education. He worked as Porter, a carpenter. He also worked as a bus conductor in Bangalore bus services. He was working as bus conductor when he got play role of kannada playwrite Topi muniyappa.
He used this opportunity to the hilt. He came to know about madras film industries during this time. His family didn't want him to learn acting. But his friend and colleagues Raj Bahadur encouraged him to learn acting. He also helped him financially. Tamil film director k Bala chandra saw him there. He advised that he should learn tamil. He knew marathi and kannada when he learned tamil there was no looking back.
He acted in 1975 in Tamil film “Apoorva Raagangal” it was followed by “katha sangama” He featured in a different film named “Puttanna Kangal” Rajnikanth never looked back after that he started winning hearts. By the 90s he was biggest commercial enter trainer. He worked in hindi films with superstar Amitabh Bachchan in 1993 he wrote his first screenplay. The name of the film was “Valli” be it comedy or serious films. Rajnikant performed. All the characters with great elan. The list of the awards and honours he received is a long one.
Personal life of Rajnikanth:- we see that he got married to Lata Ramachari. She was student of prithviraj collage for women. She had come to interview Rajnikant for a magazine. They got married on 26th February 1981. Their wedding venue was Tirupati Andhra Pradesh.
Rajnikanth and his wife...He has two daughters Aishwarya rajnikant and Saundarya rajnikant. Aishwarya is married to renowned actor Dhanush. They have two sons yatra and Lunga. His younger daughter works as producer and director of Tamil films. She got married to Ashwin Ramkumar. People kept guessing when the Thalaiva (Boss) would join politics. Tamil nadu's cheif minister Amma Jayalalitha's Demi's there were rumours that Rajnikant would join politics very soon.
On 31st December,2017 it was decided that Thalaiva Rajnikant everybody's favourite superstar would contest Tamil Nadu's state election in 2021. This is how Rajnikant entered the field of politics. His contemporary superstar kamal hassan become an active politician. They are active both in politics and in films Rajnikant's acting,action and style is unique and different. It's not without any reason that he is addressed as Rajni sir, mind it! Rajnikant will always occupy a place of pride in indian cinema.
